Matter of fact - XI

Time is like a rural Indian wife; no matter how much you abuse her, she offers herself to you silently, ceaselessly and unconditionally.

By saying that time is like a rural Indian wife, I am not saying that time = rural Indian wife.
I have just compared both of them with respect to a single quality - that of providing oneself silenty, ceaselessly and unconditionally to the abuser - and found that both fulfil that quality, as you would surely agree.

Certainly, a rural Indian wife can do many other things that time can't - like cooking food and cleaning the utensils and washing the clothes and bathing the children and milking the cows and getting burnt alive in return.

And time can be likened to many other things besides your aptly provided Hindu myhtological description of it - such as a marshmallow, a black hole or even something perfectly normal as a newborn size-zero bluewhale.
